And God knows perfectly when to give you the desires of your heart. Remember, some of the greatest blessings from God comes through patience. It also means to endure whatever circumstances we have without losing sight of the fact that all things will work together for good to those who love God. It is the ability to wait with a sense of excitement knowing that He who promised us is faithful. In the Scriptures, patience is defined as “cheerful endurance”. Now, there are certain things that will help us experience God’s perfect time in our lives. A five-minute (5 minute) time spent with the people we love are more precious than a 5-minute time spent in front of a television set. We need to seize those moments to make them even more worthwhile. Some moments in our lives are more valuable than others. Kairos is not understood in terms of hours and minutes but in terms of perfect opportunity that leverages an action. Only an act of a Sovereign and powerful God can change it). Nothing happens by accident.Įven the length of our days has been determined, from the day we were born to the day of our burial (yup, sadly – we all have an expiration date, and there is nothing we can do about it. Everything that is happening in our lives are ensuing for a reason. God is in absolute control over everything and everyone from eternity to eternity, from everlasting to everlasting. However, there is another concept of time in the Bible. This concept of time are like grains of sand sifting through an hourglass: once it is gone, there is no way to recover it back. Chronos is the linear time the time as we know it and are consciously aware of – the hours, the minutes and the seconds in a day. Oftentimes we think of time in the concept of chronos. Jesus died for your sins and mine to redeem us at just the right time. Not too early, not too late, but just at the right time. That act constituting the perfect sacrifice to redeem mankind from the power of sin and death was carried out in God’s perfect time. Romans 5:6 (NIV) The key word here is “ at just the right time”. “You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly”. So perfect is God’s control of time that the apostle Paul said: The Psalmist says that “ God’s way is perfect” that includes His sense of timing. “As for God, his way is perfect: The LORD’s word is flawless he shields all who take refuge in him”.
